Friday Five

Linking up  for Five on Friday!

A couple of weeks ago I went with Olivia and her K-5 class to the pumpkin patch. We had the greatest time! Love, love, love this time of year!
Duck race!

My sweet girl :)

She said "Mom, I found the perfect one!"
I found this cute little pumpkin decorating kit and here's how she decorated her "perfect" pumpkin:

We live next door to my husband's sweet 85 year old grandmother. Home girl works harder than anyone I've ever known, she walks 5+ miles every day, never misses a church service, and volunteers every Friday afternoon at our local thrift store. Anyways, her and Olivia are seriously BFF, every day when we get home from work/school Olivia begs to go to Grandmother's house and if she doesn't Grandmother will call me and ask why Olivia isn't there. It's seriously the cutest thing. Well last weekend Olivia went up to her house and Grandmother was doing some yard work and I snapped the sweetest picture of them.

Love that they get to spend so much time together :)

Since the weather has finally started cooling down a little we've been having fires in the evening. It's so nice to be able to relax at the end of a long day, and what better way than by sitting by a fire? Here are some pics I snapped last night while we were sitting outside:
This poor, patient, precious dog. This is Dixie, and she puts up with Olivia's shenanigans, like the one pictured

LOVE these two! Seriously, all I did was carry this child for 9 months, she looks just like her daddy :)

Not really sure about this one? She said, "mom, take a bunch of pictures of me while I bust a move!"

Then right before bed I got this cute little picture of Olivia watching some TV
Olivia and our 4th family member, Chloe. You have to look hard to see her but she's there.

Loving these pinterest finds:
So cute with leggings or skinnies!

Ha! Ain't that the truth!

I would  totally wear this out!

I'll leave you with this :)
My sweet girl in her grandma gown and bed head!

Have a good weekend all! We are off to the pumpkin patch (again!) tomorrow and will be decorating our pumpkins and watching football.

Our Weekend

This weekend we:

*Got stuff done--and a lot of it!

*Had a HUGE coyote in our back yard but, thanks to my husband, he/she is no longer with us

*Bought groceries for 2 weeks...remind me again why I thought it would be a good idea to take a 5 year old and a 29 year old in Wal-Mart?!

*Played outside, alot

*Enjoyed the fabulous weather we had

*Watched football, pretty much all day Saturday and Sunday

*Had a bunch of people over to watch football yesterday

*Spent a lot of quality time together as a family, and what more do you need than that? :)

Here's to a fabulous week!

**We had a very quiet weekend, lots of hanging out around the house, which I do NOT mind one bit!
Love this picture of them :)
**Olivia had been begging us to take her on a bike ride, we live on a short road so it gets boring just riding up and down it. There is a bike path just a short drive from our house so we took her there on Sunday and home girl rode for 7 miles with only 2 or 3 stops.

**Love, love LOVE that Charlie Hunnam is going to play Christian Grey. He's not at all what I had pictured for Christian while reading the books but I really think he's the perfect fit. And after watching him last night on the season premier of SOA, yes please!

**It's already Wednesday, woop woop!

**Seriously, is it fall yet? I hate to rush time but this 90+ degree weather has got to go!

**I can not believe it's been 12 years since our Nation was forever changed. I was in 9th grade at the time and although I knew what was going on I really didn't understand the emotional aspect of it. When I was driving to work this morning, at 8:46 a few of the local radio stations had moments of silence and memorial songs afterwards, I found myself crying my eyes out for the first time regarding 9/11. I've been to Ground Zero, granted it was back in 2005, but it was still the highlight of my trip to New York City and just to think about all the lives lost on that day in that very spot breaks my heart. God Bless the U.S.A.!

**Is it 5:00 yet?

Corey Smith Concert

Can I just say I had a freakin blast last night?! OMG, SO much fun!!
We got to the civic center a little early and a local radio station was doing a corn hole contest and the prize was meet & greets. I begged my husband to play, you only had to get 2 out of 4  bags in and he did! The other couple we went with also won, it was so neat!

So the radio station people put us and about 12 other people in this back room and in walked Corey Smith. So awesome!

He's so tall!

Hubs and I with Corey!

The couple in the pink and blue on the left are who we went with.

He is so nice and down to earth!

Waiting on the show to start...not sure why my husband looks like he just saw a ghost and I'm also not sure why we look like devil children with our eyes.

He sang every song that we knew so that made it that much more fun. Our personal favorites are If I Could Do It AgainCarolina21 and Maybe Next Year.

Our little Olivia also loves Corey Smith, she knows every word to the songs above so we got him to sign this for her:

Oh and those beauties I blogged about yesterday...I swear I was thisclose to leaving them in downtown Savannah. My feet are definitely paying for it today...OUCH!!
